The York County Economic Alliance (YCEA) is proud to announce the 2026 Showcasing YoCo awardees!

Sponsored by WellSpan Health, the celebration will be held on Thursday, April 2 at the Wyndham Garden, 2000 Loucks Road. The evening includes a social hour starting at 5 pm, with dinner and entertainment beginning at 6pm.

Revolutionary Award for Innovation presented by Harley-Davidson Motor Co – York Vehicle Operations– Weldon Solutions

Founded in the 1890s as Flinchbaugh Manufacturing, Weldon Solutions has evolved over more than a century of innovation in American manufacturing. Originally known for gasoline tractors, traction engines, and later hydraulic systems, the company transitioned in the late 20th century to focus exclusively on CNC grinding technology, becoming Weldon Machine Tool, Inc.

In 1999, Weldon was acquired by its employees and established as an employee-owned ESOP company. Building on this foundation, the company expanded its technical capabilities through advanced robotic automation and systems integration. Rebranded as Weldon Solutions in 2004, the company today manufactures and services CNC grinders and delivers integrated automation and industrial solutions. Employee-owned and driven by a commitment to quality and innovation, Weldon Solutions continues to provide cutting-edge technologies and trusted customer support across manufacturing and industrial markets.

Ignite Young Professional Award presented by Barley Snyder – Gina Spellman

Gina Spellman is a finance professional and small business entrepreneur based in York, Pennsylvania, with more than 20 years of experience across insurance, technology, and property tax consulting. She serves as Vice President of Finance for Weinstein Realty Consultants, where working in a small-business environment has shaped her broad skill set and inspired her entrepreneurial path.

Deeply committed to community service, Gina volunteers regularly and serves on the United Way of York County’s Emerging Leaders Society Steering Committee. In 2024, she co-founded Hello Harvest Fresh Food Vending with her siblings, blending her passion for food with a mission to expand access to healthier options. The business launched at Hersheypark in May 2024.

A wife and mother of three, Gina is guided by faith and purpose as she grows her business and works to make a lasting impact in her community.

Make Things Happen Small Business of the Year Award presented by CGA Law Firm–  Greer’s Burger Garage

Greer’s Burger Garage is a chef-driven celebration of classic American burger culture, founded by York County native Chef Ethan Greer, housed in a converted auto repair garage, the concept blends smashburger craftsmanship with nostalgic Americana, delivering fresh, high-volume execution rooted in quality and community.

Following the success of Taqueria El Camino, Greer created Greer’s as a second restaurant concept in Dover, Pennsylvania, where it quickly gained momentum. In year two Greer Partnered with accomplished developer Jordan Ilyes. With Jordan’s expertise and vision, Greer’s Burger Garage expanded into multiple locations across the map including, Hanover, Red Lion, Chambersburg, and York, establishing itself as one of the region’s fastest-growing independent restaurant brands.

Known for fresh beef, Martin’s Potato Rolls, and Pennsylvania-inspired favorites like mini pierogis and Birch Beer, Greer’s Burger Garage is preserving American nostalgia while building a scalable, community-focused brand poised for continued growth.

ATHENA Award, presented by Traditions Bank, a Division of ACNB – Joan Mummert

Joan Mummert is an accomplished nonprofit executive with more than 40 years of leadership experience across regional and national mission-driven organizations, including Girls Inc., Youth for Understanding, the Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital, Shippensburg University, and the York County History Center. Her career reflects a steady progression into senior leadership roles focused on organizational growth, fundraising, and community impact.

During her 18-year tenure at the York County History Center, Joan provided visionary leadership in program development and advancement, most notably leading a $30 million capital campaign that transformed a former York Metropolitan Edison power plant into an award-winning museum, library, and archives. The project significantly increased attendance, visibility, and heritage tourism in the region.

Joan holds degrees from the University of Indianapolis and Johns Hopkins University and has completed executive leadership programs through Harvard University, Georgetown University, and Leadership York. Since retiring, she remains actively engaged in the York community through Rotary, Leadership York, Give Local York, and other civic and nonprofit leadership initiatives.

White Rose Appreciation Award, presented by The Glatfelter Agency – Jody Keller

Jody Keller is a highly respected business and human resources leader with more than 45 years of experience in management, organizational development, and consulting. She retired from ParenteBeard LLC as Partner and Chief Administrative Officer, where she served on the executive management team of one of the nation’s largest accounting firms and oversaw human resources, partner relations, and marketing and communications. Earlier in her career, Jody founded and led Keller Resources, Inc., a human resources and management consulting firm, and spent more than 20 years teaching human resources management, employment law, and training and development at Villanova University and York College.

A dedicated community leader, Jody currently serves on the boards of York Water Company, Wagman Construction, Minnich’s Pharmacy, and C.S. Davidson, and has held leadership roles with numerous nonprofit organizations throughout York County, including the Rotary Club of York, York County Library System, York YMCA, and York County Chamber. She holds degrees from Penn State and St. Francis University, is SPHR certified, and resides in York with her husband, Jake.

Business Achievement Award, presented by Saxton & Stump- Brian Funkhouser

Brian Funkhouser, PE, is President and CEO of Buchart Horn, Inc. and one of York County’s most respected engineering, business, and civic leaders. Over a career spanning more than 40 years—spent entirely with Buchart Horn and its parent company, PACE Resources—he has combined technical expertise with strategic leadership and a deep commitment to public service.

A Penn State graduate in Water Resources Engineering and Surveying, Funkhouser later received the Penn State Alumni Fellow Award, the University’s highest alumni honor, recognizing his professional excellence and service. He began his career as a water and wastewater engineer, leading major infrastructure projects that improved water quality throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed, before rising to executive leadership.

Funkhouser guided Buchart Horn through economic uncertainty and industry transformation, strengthening the firm’s financial stability, expanding its geographic reach, and reinforcing its mission-driven focus on water resources, transportation, and architecture. His leadership philosophy emphasizes client-centered service, accountability, and long-term relationships.

Beyond the firm, Funkhouser has held leadership roles in numerous professional organizations and received prestigious industry honors, including the George Warren Fuller Award. He is equally committed to community service, serving on boards such as Better York and the New Birth of Freedom Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where he earned the Silver Beaver Award for exceptional service to youth.
