The York County Economic Alliance (YCEA) is proud to announce recent professional accomplishments of leaders within the organization.

Hannah Beard – Marketing and Merchant Engagement Manager, has been named to the Redevelopment Authority of the City of York Board of Directors and serves on the Project Committee. The Redevelopment Authority is tasked with eliminating blighted properties to demolish, renovate or restore assets. Hannah also chairs the Marketing & Sales Committee for Byrnes Health Education Center.

Silas Chamberlin – Chief Strategy Officer, has been named Chair of Pennsylvania’s Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council (CNRAC). He has now been appointed to CNRAC by both Governors Wolf and Shapiro.

Kim Hogeman – Director of Strategic Development, has been named to the Leg Up Farm Board of Directors. Kim is also enrolled in the Mentorship York program with Leadership York, which accelerates successful leaders to step up to significant community impact through servant leadership and connections.

Megan Kreiser – Assistant Vice President of Events, is working towards completion of Leadership York’s Executive Connections Program for new leaders in our community. Megan also joined Community Progress Council’s Fund Development Committee, dedicated to fundraising in order to provide services, resources, and support for individuals and families to move toward economic self-sufficiency.

Katie Mahoney – Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, has been named President of the York County SPCA Board of Directors, and will present at the National Best Friends Conference, the leading organization in animal welfare, on the SPCA’s success and maintenance of becoming a no-kill animal shelter. Katie has also held the roles of Vice-President and Secretary and served on a number of committees for the organization. Katie also serves on the Children’s Home Board of Directors.

Casey Nixon – Director of Membership and Business Development, was named Youth Exchange Counselor for York-North Rotary for the 2023-2024 school year. She recently joined the United Way of York Corporate Relations Cabinet.

Sully Pinos – Executive Director, BLOOM Business Empowerment Center received two prestigious recognitions. City & State PA named Sully to the 2024 Above & Beyond list, recognizing women in our Commonwealth who demonstrate exemplary leadership. Sully was also the recipient of the prestigious Dorrie Leader Award for Advocacy from YWCA York – the youngest to ever win the award, recognizing women advocating for social issues and peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Sully will also present at the International Conference on Business Incubation (InBIA) in April on fostering thriving entrepreneurial landscapes and connecting entrepreneurs of color with capital through the BLOOM Business Empowerment Center. She recently also joined the SCPaWorks (South Central Workforce Investment) Board of Directors.

Lissuannette Rivera Mercado – BLOOM Opportunity Specialist, wrapped up and passed her exam for Workforce Development Fundamentals through the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) and the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).

Catherine Roque – Marketing Manager, is currently President-Elect at Leadership York where she will assume Board Presidency in July, as well as chair of Strategic Planning Committee, and involved with the Governance and Executive Committees. She also serves as a Board Member with York County Dollars for Scholars and York Literacy Institute, as well as their Fundraising Committee.

Marlena Schugt – BLOOM Program Manager, has joined the Board of Directors for the York Literacy Institute, dedicated to providing literacy skills in English to empower adults for successful engagement in the home, workplace, and community. Marlena also received her Notary license.

Jeremy Slagle – Creative Director, has been named to the York Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, after being engaged in their community stakeholder group during a robust Strategic Planning Process. He also serves on the Board for Enroot/York Fringe.

Megan Whittle – Events Manager, is on pace to complete this year’s class of Leadership York’s Leadership Training Program.
