The Role of RACY

RACY plays an integral role in rehabilitation projects by holding title to a property while it is being developed, securing grant and loan funding, or assisting with master planning and blight designation. RACY has been involved in housing projects for the York Housing Authority, Habitat for Humanity and Adams-Hanover Counseling Services as well as redevelopment efforts in conjunction with York College and other private developers. RACY can also serve as the Issuing Authority for Tax Increment Financing (TIF) projects as dictated by Urban Redevelopment Law. Notice is hereby given that the Redevelopment Authority of the County of York will hold its 2025 Board meetings at 8:00 a.m., with the exception of the January Meeting held at 8:15 a.m. The meeting scheduled for February 5, 2025 will be held at Franklin Social Hall, 214 N Franklin St. Suite E, Red Lion, PA 17356, and the meeting scheduled for June 4, 2025 will be held at the Hanover Borough Council Chambers, 33 Frederick St. Hanover, PA 17331.
